About the course:

Each course is 14 weeks long and divided into 4 distinct modules; drawing, pastels, watercolour and acrylics. Our professional tutor follows a structured curriculum to ensure all the essential techniques are covered, whilst the emphasis is on a fun rewarding and very friendly experience. All paint, pastels and watercolours are provided (as are tea and coffee) – all we ask is students provide their own pencils and paper.  We do also offer new students a Starter Pack, which contains the whole range of specialist papers used during the entire course, a sketchbook, artists pencils, ruler, rubber and very import A3+ poly-holdall to transport your cherished artwork and papers to and from class.  At the end of each course we organise an exhibition where you can show your best pieces to friends, family and the wider public – and you will have work you want to show off!

So if you want to make new friends, make some time for yourself and have some fun, please fill in the form below and someone will give you a call to chat about how everything works and answer all your questions - we look forward to hearing from you 🙂

What's included in the course?

Each week there is a 3-hour session where your professional tutor will explain what that day’s lesson is about, demonstrate the techniques you use, and then circulates giving each student personal assistance as required. All paints, pastels and watercolours (as applicable to that lesson) are supplied, together with a selection of brushes/palette knives and other bits and pieces applicable to the project.  Students need to provide their own paper and pencils, though we can provide a starter pack for a heavily discounted fee that contains all the different types of paper you will need during the course, plus pencils, rubber, ruler and an A3+ size poly-holdall so you can transport your work and paper to and from class safely and easily.  The course manager is always on hand to ensure a steady supply of paint etc, free tea and coffee, and to buttonhole the tutor if anyone is struggling.  Each lesson is concluded with a printed handout explaining some of the techniques used in more detail and suggesting ways to improve and practise what you have learned.

And last but not least – a group of fellow students who will become friends and help each other along the way!
